Hope
In 2016, 62 Dutch rabbits were rescued from neglect. EARS took in 10 of those bunnies. Hope was already bonded with her best friend, Holly. In 2021, Holly passed away. Hope still got lots of love at the shelter from all the volunteers. Hope lived out her last few days at volunteer Stephanie’s house with lots of cuddles. On July 30, 2022, Hope passed away.

Ruby
Ruby came in as an owner surrender in 2015. She was loved by many volunteers, but especially by one volunteer, Theresa, who passed away a few years ago. EARS co-founder Ron and volunteer Melanie took Ruby to Melanie’s funeral to meet friends and family. On Aug 6, 2022, Ruby curled up to volunteer Kaitlyn and nuzzled into her leg and laid next to her, passing peacefully.

|
RHD has how been confirmed in Pennsylvania. RHD is a highly contagious and deadly disease found in rabbits that has been spreading across the US and is now confirmed in PA.
Vaccinations are available at Animal Ark and cost approximately $100 for the exam plus the vaccine. A $30 booster will also be needed.

Your Bunny in the Calendar!
This year, to offset our printing costs for our bunny calendar, we are offering blank squares for a donation of $5 or more.
Email a (horizontal) photo of your bunny to EARS, and donate at least $5, and we’ll feature your bunny in a blank square in the month you choose! Spots are limited.

Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers who are available one day per week. Shifts are Monday through Thursday, 9am-12pm. If you’re available, love bunnies, and want to make a difference, apply to join the team!
